CSA

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. By purchasing a subscription share in a CSA, you receive fresh, locally grown produce straight from the farm. You also support the farmer directly, encouraging a holistic, whole-farm philosophy.

A CSA does include some risk. As a CSA member, you are guaranteed a share of what the farm produces. If a hailstorm knocks down the corn, CSA members and the farmer share the loss together. However, if there is a bumper crop of tomatoes, everyone enjoys the extras.

A CSA is the perfect way to develop a direct relationship with your food and your farmer. Farm tours and volunteer workdays foster a transparency that just isn’t available at the local market.

For the best in locally grown, seasonal produce, join our CSA today.

Regular Season

June 15 – September 15 (13 weeks)
$325 per share ($25 per week)

Each share is designed to provide enough fresh, seasonal produce for two people (or one person who really likes vegetables!).

Extended Season

June 1 – September 30 (17 weeks)
$425 per share ($25 per week)

The Extended Season CSA share includes the same seasonal produce as the Regular Season, plus four extra weeks of baby greens, winter squash, pickles, preserves, fresh breads and handmade soap.

50% of share price must be paid by May 1, 2012, with the remaining balance due by June 1, 2012

What will I get with a share?

Here are just a few of the things that will be grown in 2012:

Basil
Broccoli
Bush Beans
Cauliflower
Cilantro
Corn
Cucumbers
Dill
Greens
Kohlrabi
Lettuces
Parsley
Peas
Peppers (Sweet and Hot)
Pole Beans
Potatoes
Pumpkins
Summer Squash
Sunflowers
Tomatoes
Watermelons
Winter Squash

We also hope to harvest strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries in 2012, although the first harvest of these fruits tends to be small.

We grow both heirloom and hybrid varieties of our fruits and vegetables, striving for vigorous plants with outstanding flavor. Don’t be surprised if you see fruits or vegetables that are brand new to you. We will include some dinner ideas and recipes with each week’s delivery.

While we are not certified organic, we do raise all our fruits and vegetables as naturally as possible, without chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides.

Available shares are limited. Reserve yours today!
