Turtle Cove Farm Rotating Header Image

Oh I love you guys!

I am sorry for the pity party the other day.  Normally when the shit hits the fan, I just put my head down and do what needs to be done to fix it.  But this time…  That was just the proverbial straw.

But honestly, I wouldn’t be dreaming of a farm if I was afraid of a little hard work.  We’ll just work harder over the next year, start a little smaller than we had planned, and get a little creative about how things get done.

Thank you for all the emails and comment!  I’m trying to respond to each one, but I’m slow.  If you haven’t heard from me yet, it’s not for lack of appreciation!

I am lucky in that I don’t need my retirement funds until retirement (and my kids have 11+ years to get their college funds rebuilt), but I looked at the account balances last month and almost cried. I’m glad that your plans haven’t been completely ruined by the “downturn”.

And the farmer? He ploughs on. Through misharvests, cattlediseases and war, the farmer ploughs on, because that is what a farmer does. Before you even have your farm, you show you have true farmers blood in this post. The farmer ploughs on is a Dutch poem. It still sucks though, putting your money in a safe place, finding out they did not save it for you and that going on the whole world over.

You can do this. Financial stuff is such a drag, but where there is a dream, there is a sheep. Or two or three.
